Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

The Jurnal Anestesi Obstetri Indonesia (JAOI) is committed to the long-term preservation and continued accessibility of its published scholarly content.

1. Digital Preservation and Backup

JAOI maintains backup copies of its published articles, metadata, issue information, and related digital files to support data recovery and reduce the risk of data loss. Backup and recovery procedures are intended to help restore access to journal content in the event of technical failure, website disruption, or other incidents affecting data availability.

The journal seeks to preserve the integrity, authenticity, and accessibility of its published scholarly record.

2. Digital Archiving and Preservation Mechanisms

JAOI may use institutional repositories, recognized digital preservation services, and other appropriate digital archiving mechanisms to support the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content.

The journal periodically reviews its archiving practices to ensure that they remain appropriate for its publishing platform and preservation needs.

3. Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs)

JAOI assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to published articles through its DOI registration arrangements. DOIs provide persistent identifiers that facilitate the identification, citation, and discovery of published articles.

The journal aims to maintain accurate article metadata and DOI links to support reliable access to its published content. A DOI provides a persistent identifier and does not, by itself, guarantee the permanent preservation of the article's full text.

4. Author Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, academic websites, or other appropriate noncommercial scholarly platforms, provided that the original publication in JAOI is properly acknowledged.

Authors must include the article's DOI, where available, and a link to the original article on the JAOI website. Such deposits should not misrepresent the original publication or alter the published version in a way that compromises the integrity of the scholarly record.

5. Access and Restoration

JAOI maintains access to published articles through its official journal website. In the event of website disruption or data loss, the journal will make reasonable efforts to restore access using available backups and other preservation resources.

6. Policy Review

This policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect developments in digital preservation practices, publishing technology, and the journal's archiving arrangements.
