About the Journal

The Jurnal Anestesi Obstetri Indonesia (JAOI), also known as the Indonesian Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia, is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Indonesian Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Critical Care (INA-SOACC).

JAOI aims to promote the advancement of scientific knowledge, research, and clinical practice in obstetric anesthesia, obstetric critical care, and related fields. The journal provides a platform for researchers, anesthesiologists, clinicians, academics, and other healthcare professionals to disseminate original research, share clinical experiences, and contribute to evidence-based practices in maternal and pregnancy-related care.

Aims and Scope

JAOI aims to promote the advancement of scientific knowledge and evidence-based clinical practice in obstetric anesthesia, obstetric critical care, and related areas of maternal and perioperative medicine.

The journal welcomes scientific contributions from Indonesia and other countries, particularly research that supports improvements in maternal safety, anesthetic management, critical care, and pregnancy-related outcomes.

JAOI accepts the following types of manuscripts:

• Case Reports

• Literature Reviews

• Letters to the Editor

Submissions may address clinical practice, translational research, or relevant biomolecular aspects of obstetric anesthesia and critical care.

Publication and Editorial Policy

Manuscripts submitted to JAOI must be original and must not have been previously published in another journal. Manuscripts previously presented in scientific conference proceedings may be considered for publication, provided that the relevant requirements are fulfilled and written permission from the conference organizing committee is obtained.

All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review in accordance with the journal's editorial policies. JAOI is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific integrity, publication ethics, transparency, and responsible scholarly publishing.

Authors are expected to ensure that their manuscripts comply with the journal's Author Guidelines and applicable ethical requirements before submission.

The Role of INA-SOACC
